Senior Front-End Developer

My role at Nextiva included aspects of both web development and project management, helping to both lead and work alongside my team to create the best responsive sites for Nextiva and its many affiliates. My everyday development work included using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP, along with various marketing automation and testing tools to optimize for tracking and performance.

Additional development work included Nextiva's WordPress sites such as Nextiva's blog and support sites, and various API implementations of products such as Greenhouse for the Nextiva Careers page and Cvent for conference-level events.

As a manager, I would plan out timelines and workflows as needed. My main goal was always to maintain a healthy atmosphere between coworkers and meet the needs of the business.

Kaiwa Club page

Created during my first semester of Japanese language studies, the goal of this page was to create scenarios people could talk about with the help of randomized words and locations we had previously learned.

Developed with both desktop and mobile in mind, this page utilizes a custom JSON list to help populate the words that appear.

To the T Contstruction page

To the T Concrete Construction site was a collaboration with another developer who provided the design and UI/UX to help accelerate the project timeline.

Overall development was solely focused on the client's needs and requests.

Black Screen project page

In the need for a quick solution to black out a monitor in order to focus better when using a multi-monitor setup without turning it on/off, I created this Black Screen project. The solution was to produce a fullscreen black overlay which can be easily reset by pressing the 'r' key when needed.

Auto Analyst app

Link unavailable for this item.

This review analyst tool was created as a personal project with the sole intent of learning the extent of using PHP to HTML scrape web pages and testing cron job scheduling on a server. The finished project would update reviews on a daily basis from individual sites for various VoIP competitors.

As a comparison tool, it worked extremely well and was used internally for a limited time by Nextiva as a sales companion tool.

Dynamic Job Post page

By contract, this page was developed to help explain the process of using PHP and URL queries to create dynamic landing pages with unique content from a single source page.

I used a similar solution for Nextiva's Career page job postings, which is still used to this day.

Closet Full of Art Supplies page

This was a WordPress installation created for my mom to show off her art. While never fully used, it was a good learning experience at the time for self-hosted WordPress installations.

Geek Pop Alliance page

Link unavailable for this item.

"Geek Pop Alliance" was a pop culture-focused podcast my friend and I created. This WordPress site at the time was used to host our shows and any other relevant information.

Due to us ending the show, I have since removed the site.

binaryLunchbox blog page

My very first experience with using WordPress was through wordpress.com. The original intent of binaryLunchbox.com was to host this blog and updated pop culture news at the time.

This blog was a learning tool into WordPress dashboard management, customized CSS, and plug-in usage.

ABOUT ME

私について

Hello! In my earlier years, I owned a comic book shop in Orlando, Florida before successfully selling it and changing my career to programming. Since then, I have graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor's Degree in Software Development, moved to Phoenix, Arizona for a number of years, and now finally live in the beautiful country of Japan.

I consider myself a very friendly and hardworking person, which I incorporate into any workplace and project. Personally, I enjoy working with APIs and seeing new projects come to life.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with friends, photography, and continuing my personal journey with learning Japanese. I also enjoy hiking when possible and in 2023, I was able to finally climb Mt. Fuji.

I believe life is too short not to be enjoyed and try to follow that goal both inside and outside of the workplace through successful communication and achievements.
